This main floor refresh is giving all of the cozy transitional vibes and is one you don't want to miss! We will be featuring this project in a series of blog posts to show our process but for now, here is the big reveal!
This living room invites you to sit and stay awhile! The new engineered hardwood floors and mantle helped to brighten up the space. We loved incorporating the homeowners love of blue in the furnishings as well as mixing in various textiles to create a functional place for a family to relax while also being the perfect place to welcome guests into the home.

The living room transitions beautifully into the kitchen and dining spaces. New countertops also helped to brighten up this gorgeous main floor and we love how they helped to highlight the stained island.
Can we talk about the gorgeous natural light this home soaks in each day? Over in the dining room, we added a round dining table which are a favorite here at SMI! They create a great place for conversation and this gorgeous table contrasts so well with the new flooring. The beaded chandelier was the perfect finishing touch to the space.

Refreshing a home office is so much fun! Of course, the new floors continue to be stunning in each space. We are so obsessed with accent wall as just the pop of color the space needed. We continued the kitchen tops out into the mud room drop zone and added custom shelves to match the mantle- we just love how it turned out!

The powder room can be the little hidden gem in a home! It's a place to take a little bit more risk with color or pattern and this one is one of our very favorites- we think you'll love it, too! The rich green color in the paint + wallpaper lets the brass shine and the added wainscot detail to the bottom half adds the perfect custom feel to the space.

Let's travel upstairs to the owner's suite! All of the carpet was replaced upstairs and we selected a gorgeous pattern for just this room. It brightens up the space and is the perfect contrast to the paint color. Each little detail in this space works together to create the transitional bedroom of our dreams. The shiplap ceiling is our favorite finishing touch!

Lastly, the entry and stairwells were refreshed and the added detail to each space makes all of the difference! In the entryway, we painted the dark wood ceiling to brighten it up and added a transitional light with dark metal to add the contrast back to the space. In the stairwells we added in shiplap and updated sconces to both brighten those spaces and add in the perfect amount of detail.
